We recognize the importance of protecting the personal information of our members and of our obligation to keep the information you provide to us secure and confidential. When you access our Web site, HFS, or use our other products or services, we and our business partners who help us deliver these products to you will have access to your personal information. As a general rule, Westar will not disclose to third parties private information that you submit which personally identifies you without your prior consent.

The Use of Email
Personal information contained in e-mail sent by members and non-members may be used by Westar Federal Credit Union staff to answer questions, to follow up on suggestions or complaints, or to improve the level of service we provide. Please be advised that e-mail may not be secure against interception by unauthorized individuals. Therefore, if you wish to communicate sensitive or personal information, you may want to send it by postal mail, or fax it directly to our office.

Data Collection
Each time you visit our website, an entry is created on our server's log system. Information such as your browser type (Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, etc); time of day; and other statistical data is recorded. These logs are kept on a restricted directory, and are destroyed shortly after reporting is complete.

Home Financial Services (HFS)
Home Financial Services, located at westarnet.com/hfs is our vendor provided Internet banking product. It is hosted on separate, secure servers. The higher your encryption level of your browser; the more secure the information you transfer. Check your browser's help files for information regarding secuirty (sometimes called cipher strength).
